Label: Roadrunner Records
The Floridian death metal pioneers puked out this highly complex, hyper-speed spasmodic fit of a record in 1992. Considered by many fans to be Deicide's best work, Legion distinguishes itself from the rest of the band's material with expanded (for them) structures and a closer eye to out-of-hand technicality in the guitar department. Singer Glen Benton spews, grunts and shrieks like he worships Satan. That's probably because he does. Meanwhile, guitarist brothers Brian and Eric Hoffman strafe and dive-bomb like they were born with copies of Judas Priest's Sin After Sin in their hands.
