On their second album, Montreal's Half Moon Run summon a string section and an electronic growl or three to the cause of earnest, stirring indie rock -- accessorizing deft, relaxed guitar pop like "Warmest Regards" and "Narrow Margins" with chamber-music swoops and swells. "Hands in the Garden" evokes similarly lush Brit rockers Guillemots; "Consider Yourself" evokes Arcade Fire. (Like, _really_ evokes.) Best in show: "Turn Your Love", a lush echoscape of chirping Police keyboards and swooping vocals that just need a little nudge to become R&B, or a different nudge to become Bono.
