The second LP by drug-dealers-turned-glorious-overachievers Happy Mondays is a narcotics-induced paranoid mess that somehow sticks together long enough to reach the finish line. Martin Hannet's trademark dark production and some burly funk rhythms only add credibility to Shaun Ryder's off-key caterwauling about drugs, dirty sex, hooliganism and general beer-drenched debauchery. Classic stuff from the most infamous of all the Madchester groups.
