Pizzarelli's hot swing guitar playing and humble, "Aw, shucks" vocals make for a perfect Christmas combination, with the added bonus of orchestral cuts arranged by Johnny Mandel, Ralph Burns, Claire Fischer, Don Sebesky and Michel Legrand mixed in with the small-group jazz. A couple of above average Pizzaralli originals are included with the classics.
