Neil Halstead's first solo album oozes with great songs that draw from an obvious love of the famed British folksingers of yore, but this is no rehash. Filled with fingerpicked melodies, simple horn accompaniments, and washes of strategically placed analog synths, Sleeping contains the most fully realized songs Halstead's ever written.
